Sr Engineer,Software

We're looking for passionate and skilled Observability Sr Software Developers to help shape the future of connectivity and technology!

The Observability Sr Software Engineer works with a team of other software engineers to design, implement, and deploy critical Observability solutions that empower our IT and Network organizations with the visibility they need to manage their applications and services. This role involves both hands-on development and participation in the architecture and design of software systems.

You will be responsible for building modern observability applications and microservices leveraging technologies such as Java , GoLang , JavaScript , Splunk Observability , Grafana, Victoria Metrics, and Open Telemetry platforms.

Technical Leadership:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies.

Technical Writing:

• Contribute to clear and concise documentation for code, systems, and design specifications.
• Document system designs, workflows, and business requirements for engineering consumption.

Technology Strategy:

• Explore and apply emerging technologies to meet business goals.
• Interact with systems engineers to define requirements for software and automation.

Innovation:

• Present new ideas to improve systems, frameworks, or processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply innovative thinking to current systems.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required)
• 6+ years of technical software engineering experience (Required)
• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions using Java , GoLang , or JavaScript .
• 7+ years of providing observability solutions utilizing OTEL frameworks like Splunk Observability .
• Conduct tests and inspections, prepare reports and calculations.
• Understand system protocols, data flows, and dependencies to develop full software stacks independently.
• Support and supervise associate engineers as needed.

Preferred Skills and Technologies:

• Strong experience in one or more: Java, GoLang, JavaScript
• Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern backend frameworks
• Exposure to containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Experience with SQL / Oracle and Observability tooling like OTEL and Thousand Eyes is a plus
• Familiarity with Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Open Telemetry technologies preferred
