Job Title: Store Head (Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager)
Location: Prithala, Haryana
Department: Stores & Inventory
Industry: Automotive – Tier 1 Supplier (Sheet Metal BIW & Axle Parts)
Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head
Experience: 10 to 12 years (BOP & Consumables)
Salary Range: 50,000 – 55,000 per month
Role Overview:
The Store Head will be responsible for end-to-end management of all stores operations for the Prithala plant — ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production, effective inventory control, and compliance with OEM supply standards. The role demands strong experience in BOP (Bought Out Parts) , consumables , and coordination across procurement, production, and quality teams in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Store Management

Manage receipt, storage, and issue of BOPs, consumables, tools, and spare parts.

Maintain accurate stock levels to support continuous production operations.

Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation with system stock (ERP/SAP).

Implement FIFO / LIFO / ABC classification for effective inventory control.
2. Vendor & Material Coordination

Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely material delivery.

Ensure incoming material inspection in coordination with Quality team.

Manage material rejection, return-to-vendor, and documentation.
3. Systems & Documentation

Ensure accurate data entry in ERP / SAP related to GRN, issue slips, and material transfers.

Maintain all statutory and ISO/TS audit documentation related to stores.

Track daily material consumption and raise indents proactively.
4. Cost & Space Optimization

Optimize storage layout, space utilization, and material flow.

Minimize inventory carrying cost and ensure zero stock-out situations.

Identify obsolete/slow-moving items and initiate disposal process.
5. People & Safety Management

Supervise storekeepers and helpers ensuring discipline and accountability.

Enforce safety, 5S, and housekeeping practices in stores area.

Conduct periodic training for the team on material handling and system usage.
Key Competencies & Skills
-
Strong knowledge of BOPs, consumables, and automotive component flow.

Proficient in ERP / SAP and MS Excel for inventory tracking.

Analytical mindset with focus on accuracy and control.

Ability to handle high-mix, fast-moving automotive parts environment.

Excellent coordination and communication with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
-
Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (preferred).

Additional certification in Materials Management / Supply Chain is an advantage.
