Sr. Executive / Asst. Manager - Procurement (Steel Commodity)

Role: Candidate is responsible for the strategic sourcing, cost-effective purchasing, and timely delivery of all steel-related materials (e.g., Steel sheet's, Steel Bar’s, billets, finished products etc.)  while ensuring QCDRS standards and supply chain resilience.

This role involves market analysis, supplier management, contract negotiation, and close collaboration with internal production and operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing & Planning: Develop and implement sourcing strategies, Ordering Policies for steel commodities that align with business objectives and production schedules.


• Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, select, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing domestic and global suppliers


• Negotiation & Cost Management


• Logistics & Inventory Control


• Compliance & Risk Mitigation


• Data Analysis & Reporting


• Cross-functional Collaboration

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:  B. Tech in Mechanical Engg.


• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of the steel making process, an ability to read technical drawings and specifications, and proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle) and Microsoft Office (advanced Power point skills are a plus).


• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Must have strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for data-driven decision making. 

Experience:

• 4 ~7 Years in RM buying / Stamping Parts buying

Working Location:

• Manesar with frequent visits to suppliers / IGCs as per requirements
