Job Description

Objective

This position is responsible for managing the company’s foreign exchange, commodity, banking, trade finance, cash, investment, and stock reporting operations. The role ensures timely execution, regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, liquidity management, and supports audit, training, and process improvement initiative.


Job Responsibilities

1. Risk Management

- Monitor and manage outward remittances ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Obtain and circulate daily foreign exchange rates from banks and the market.

- Maintain and manage EEFC accounts, including balance monitoring, utilization, and reconciliation.

- Execute and monitor foreign currency hedging through forward contracts.

- Execute and monitor commodity hedging to manage price risk exposure.

- Maintain hedging registers and detailed records of all hedged forward and commodity contracts.

- Track new export orders and assess forex and commodity exposure.

- Collect and monitor outward remittance projections from divisions and track actuals versus projections.

- Monitor daily foreign currency and commodity movements and assess their impact on company exposure.

- Share month-end currency rates, forex and commodity exposure summaries, and market updates with divisions.

- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, bank policies, and internal risk management frameworks.

- Track and follow up on IDPMS and EDPMS transactions with banks and internal divisions to ensure timely data submission and closure.

2. Bank Guarantees (BG) & Letters of Credit (LC) Operations

- Coordinate with banks for issuance, amendment, extension, and cancellation of BGs and LCs and track and manage BG and LC limits, utilization, outstanding positions, and allocations across divisions.

- Support Import, Local, and Sale LC operations, including issuance, amendment, documentation, and negotiation.

- Ensure timely collection of export proceeds under Sale LCs.

- Maintain accurate registers for BGs and LCs, covering issued, outstanding, expired, and cancelled instruments and monitor timely actions.

- Verify BG/LC wording in line with contracts and customer requirements.

- Follow up with banks for SWIFT copies, acknowledgements, and confirmations.

4. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare and submit MIS reports covering BGs, LCs, Forex, UHFC, MTM, and Cash Management to management.

- Share exception reports highlighting delays, deviations, or excess utilization.

- Coordinate with banks, internal finance, sales, and operations teams for smooth execution of trade finance activities.

- Prepare and submit stock statements and stock audit reports to management and auditors.

- Handle e-trade activities, including online submission, tracking, and compliance with bank and regulatory requirements.

5. Audit & Training

· Internal and External Audit Queries:

- Provide data, supporting documents, and clarifications to auditors related to BG, LC, Forex, Treasury, and Trade Finance operations.

- Ensure timely resolution of audit observations and maintain proper records.

· Bank & Trade Training & Guidance:

- Conduct training sessions for internal teams on banking procedures, trade finance operations, forex, and treasury processes.

- Provide guidance on compliance, documentation standards, and process improvements.

· Continuous Process Improvement:

- Implement best practices in trade finance, forex, and treasury operations.

- Suggest improvements in reporting, cash management, and risk mitigation processes.

6 Cash Management & Investment Operations

- Monitor daily bank balances and manage liquidity planning for smooth operations.

- Execute and track fund transfers between accounts, divisions, and banks.

- Manage investments in Fixed Deposits (FDs), Commercial Papers (CPs), and mutual funds, including placement, redemption, and maturity tracking.

- Track cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational, trade finance, and investment requirements.

- Assist in bank reconciliation, interest accrual verification, and bank charges reconciliation.

- Provide cash flow forecasts and recommend investment strategies to optimize returns and liquidity.

Education / Certification and Experience: CA with 2 plus years of experience.
