The Company

Join a large, privately held global group seeking a Senior Financial Accountant / Finance manager level professional to take ownership of its growing property portfolio. Based in Australia, this role will lead the finance function for a substantial US-based property arm and work closely with senior leadership to build out capability, structure, and reporting.

Role

Suited to an experienced Senior Financial Accountant or emerging Finance Manager with strong technical expertise, this role combines accuracy, compliance, strategy, and leadership. Ideal for someone who thrives on process improvement, regulatory adherence, stakeholder collaboration, and confidence in leading a team.

  • End-to-end property accounting and financial oversight
  • Supporting ongoing US property acquisitions
  • Strengthening reporting, controls, and compliance frameworks
  • Working closely with US-based and Australian stakeholders
  • Applying and interpreting US GAAP, particularly around leases, impairments, and acquisitions
  • Supporting contingency and scenario planning
  • Contributing to the evolution and maturity of the property finance function

    • Your Profile

  • CPA or CA qualified, degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience including leading finance teams and partnering cross-functionally.
  • Experience managing external audits and dealing with regulatory bodies (ATO, ASIC, State Revenue Office) and US GAAP highly regarded
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 experience is highly advantageous).
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities and demonstrated focus on process improvement and automation.
