Overview:
This opening is for GETC Advance Methods Team at Collins Aerospace for System Modeling Engineer for aircraft air management systems. Requires a total of 6+ years’ experience on Aero Thermal System Modeling or model based design using Modelica/Dymola, Simulink, Simscape or similar simulation environment
Domain Knowledge & Skills:
Experienced in Steady state and Dynamic plant & controls model development in HVAC or Gas turbine or Environmental Control, Engine Bleed Air Regulation, Air Distribution, Gas Inerting System or equivalent systemExperienced in thermodynamic cycle/fluid dynamic modeling, heat transfer device and/or continuous and discrete process controller architecture and modelingExperienced in model validation/correlation of steady state/dynamic system models.More than 6 years of experience in dynamic and steady state Modelling/Simulation skills using object oriented modelling tools like Modelica/Dymola, Simulink, Simscape or similar simulation environment.Highly Experienced (more 5 years) in Matlab or Python based scriptingHands on experience in FMU based model exchangeIn depth understanding in IV/DV pairs, Steady state solver and solver related issues for model non convergence.Critical thinker, decision making and problem-solving skillsAnalyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the systemAssist in the development of proposals for new business that will implement MBSE/MBDInteract with US counterparts for close coordination of the project activities.Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years or Master’s in Thermal/Design with a minimum 6 years experienceRole & Responsibilities:
