Job Summary

The Senior Manager – HR will play a critical role in shaping and advancing the people agenda at GlobalStep, partnering closely with business leaders to propel our position forward and upward. This role acts as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving people strategies that strengthen GlobalStep’s position as a leading global services partner to the video games industry.

You will lead initiatives across talent management, employee engagement, performance, and culture—ensuring we continue to attract, develop, and retain exceptional game industry talent while preserving the passion, values, and creative spirit that define GlobalStep. The role requires strong business acumen, deep HR expertise, comfort with change, and a genuine passion for games and the people who build them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership 
  • Partner with business leaders and managers to understand organizational priorities and translate them into effective people strategies. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, organization design, leadership effectiveness, and talent decisions. 
  • Drive talent management and engagement initiatives. 
  • Foster a games service culture aligned with GlobalStep organizational values and deliver best in class services within the games industry. 
  • Culture, Employee Engagement & Retention 
  • Champion a people-first culture aligned with GlobalStep’s values and the expectations of world-class game industry talent. 
  • Design and implement engagement, career development, and retention programs that motivate high performance and long-term commitment. 
  • Partner with leaders to proactively address engagement risks and strengthen team morale. 
  • Talent & Performance Management 
  • Own and continuously improve performance management frameworks, including goal setting, reviews, promotions, and succession planning. 
  • Identify high-potential talent and work with senior leadership to design targeted development and leadership readiness plans. 
  • Support career progression and internal mobility. 
  • Change Management 
  • Assist in organizational change, including restructuring and HR transformation projects. 
  • Lead change management efforts with clear communication, empathy, and structured execution to ensure smooth transitions . 
  • Employee Relations & Compliance 
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, internal policies, and governance standards. 
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams on audits, risk mitigation, and policy enhancements. 
  • HR Analytics & Reporting 
  • Track, analyze, and present key HR metrics such as attrition, engagement, performance outcomes, and workforce trends. 
  • Use data-driven insights to influence leadership decisions and continuously improve HR effectiveness. 
  • Collaboration with internal HR teams 
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and HR Operations teams to ensure seamless end-to-end execution of HR programs. 
  • Act as a single point of contact between HR and assigned business units, ensuring alignment, clarity, and accountability. 
  • Qualification/Experience

  • Master’s degree in human resources or related field. 
  • 10+ years of HR experience, primarily in gaming studios or gaming services industry. 
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leadership and managing complex, multi-stakeholder HR initiatives. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance frameworks. 
  • Experience with HR analytics, dashboards, and digital HR tools. 
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. 
  • A genuine passion for the video games industry and the people who power it.
