JOB TITLE: Sr. Manufacturing & Quality Engineer

LOCATION: Mesa, AZ

PAY RATE: $60/hour

Summary: 




  • Balanced shop floor and desk presence




  • Composite and metallic manufacturing process expertise




  • Root cause analysis and corrective action leadership




  • FAI, MWI, and drawing review proficiency




  • GD&T and dimensional control mastery




  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication




  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality standards




Requirements: 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field




  • 10+ years of manufacturing quality engineering experience in the aerospace industry, including significant assembly experience on spacecraft and/or aircraft




  • Subject Matter Expert (SME)–level expertise in composite fabrication and metallic manufacturing processes




  • Proven experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102), drawing reviews, and Manufacturing Work Instruction (MWI) development and approval




  • Strong working knowledge and practical application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)




  • Extensive experience in Non-Conformance Report (NCR) dispositioning and Material Review Board (MRB) decision-making




  • Demonstrated leadership in Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and Corrective Action Board (CAB) processes




  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to balance hands-on shop floor engagement and detailed engineering analysis




  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).





Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience in spacecraft manufacturing or launch vehicle integration




  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification




  • Hands-on experience with CMMs and advanced metrology systems




  • Active or recent security clearance
