Job Description

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Strong SolidWorks, Simulation, GD&T, PDM/PLM, including surfacing tools knowledge
  • Past history of scaling up, going from prototype to mass production with complex electromechanical equipment or systems
  • Experience with engineering materials, with a history of properly selecting materials that meet design requirements. Must have injection molded plastics and metals (die cast and sand cast)
  • Experience with robotics or motion control, and with battery-powered systems preferred. Experience with bearings, gear boxes, motors and drivetrains is helpful
  • Comfortable with all phases of the product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debugging, verification, qualification, and transfer
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
