The Demand & Supply Director owns LATAM forecasting, S&OP, procurement strategy, production planning, and the alignment of planning activities between the U.S. and Mexico. This role leads end-to-end demand and supply operations across all channels, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient production scheduling, optimized inventory levels, and seamless cross-border coordination. The Director is responsible for building regional capabilities, driving strategic alignment, and delivering the planning structure needed to support high-growth operations in Mexico and LATAM.

Summary:


Pilon Industries / Gymreapers is seeking a highly organized and analytical Senior Planner to support demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, and cross-functional alignment across Mexico and LATAM. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong planning capabilities, and proven experience operating in fast-paced manufacturing or consumer-goods environments. Responsibilities:


Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop short- and long-term SKU-level demand forecasts using historical trends, seasonality, and sales inputs.
  • Consolidate demand signals from Amazon MX, Mercado Libre, DTC MX, wholesale, and U.S. planning teams.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify deviations, drivers, and required corrective actions.
  • Prepare demand reports, dashboards, and planning insights for monthly S&OP reviews.

Supply Planning & Production Coordination

  • Translate approved demand forecasts into weekly and monthly supply plans.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and procurement to ensure materials, labor, and capacity requirements are met.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as needed to address shortages, demand changes, or operational disruptions.
  • Support planning alignment between Mexico operations and U.S. HQ.

Inventory Management

  • Track raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels to maintain optimal stock positions.
  • Monitor safety stock requirements and recommend adjustments based on forecast variability and lead-time performance.
  • Identify low, excess, or obsolete inventory and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate inventory reporting in ERP/MRP systems.

Procurement & Material Planning Support

  • Generate material requirements planning (MRP) based on production schedules and demand signals.
  • Partner with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Review supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, and delivery performance.

S&OP Support & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Prepare reports, planning files, and scenario analyses for monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement to maintain alignment on demand and supply priorities.
  • Communicate planning changes, risks, and constraints to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards for demand accuracy, supply status, inventory health, and capacity utilization.
  • Monitor KPIs including forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, fill rates, and planning adherence.
  • Provide insights on trends, variances, and planning performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify planning gaps and lead initiatives to strengthen forecasting, inventory accuracy, and planning efficiency.
  • Improve data quality, planning tools, templates, and process documentation.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, MRP, or production planning (manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills; familiarity with forecasting or planning tools.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Contpaqi, Brightpearl).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and maintain high accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory, materials management, and planning best practices.
