Objective: Determine the current and future needs of raw materials and / or components required to meet the master production schedule. Provide timely inputs required by the business units. Main Activities: Develops strategic initiatives oriented to meet/exceed department goals. Responsible to ensure material availability base on production and demand forecasts; able to determine and adjust parameter in MRP. Handles part/engineering changes, avoiding obsolescence and material gaps, as per ECR, MCR or similar; Anticipates customer’s needs. Able to handle Min Max and Discrete purchase as well as VMI accounts. Solve in major situations related to procurement, material control and planning. Sets Controls/Limits in metrics to ensure/avoid going out of control/range. Analyze and control the materials according to their inventory classification A, B, C. Evaluates Material Forecast vs Actual Deliveries/Stock. Takes leader's role when necessary.
