There is a senior level role available for a PLC programmer.

Job Description:

  • Permanent full time positions for High Level PLC/HMI Programming on multiple platforms

  • Develop solutions for new complex industrial control systems with reasonable research and learning curve

  • Robotics integration and programming on multiple platforms

  • Mentor for controls personnel of lesser experience and other disciplines

  • Working with a multidisciplined team of controls personnel

  • Manage own work within a timeline and work with entire project team

  • Present controls system concepts, design and programming architecture to BOS team and customer

    • Required Experience:

  • At least 8 years total of experience in Industrial Controls including:

  • At least 5 years of experience in automation integration

  • At least 5 years of experience in PLC and HMI Programming

  • Completed College or university level training in relevant field

    • Required Specific Expertise & Attributes:

  • It is required to have the following specific expertise:

  • RSLogix5000

  • FactoryTalk View Studio 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Moderate Understanding of industry CSA electrical and CSA/OSHA Machine Safety standards

  • Ability to complete tasks while working unsupervised

  • Ability to maintain composure and focus while working under pressure

  • Ability, desire, and aptitude for working in a team environment

    • Relevant Expertise:

  • It is an asset to have any of the following experience and qualifications:

  • Various modern PLC/HMI type and application experience

  • 3 year Electrical Technologist Degree (or similar)

  • 4 year B.Sc. Engineering Degree

  • Robotic experience

  • Familiarity with vision systems

  • Familiar with assembly automation processes and tooling

  • Familiar with welding processes and weld fixtures

  • Familiar with laser automation processes

  • Electrical and/or pneumatic design experience
