How We Work

This positions preferred location is in Chennai/Pune India. We work hybrid, 3 days in the office preferably, this gives us the face-to-face time to have creative conversations, meaningful meetings, make quick decisions and build relationships. At the same time, it offers flexibility you need to focus and do your best work.

Mission and Goal

We are seeking an experienced Principal Software engineer in Oracle Fusion Cloud Management and Oracle on-prem application specialist to handle Record to Report, expertise in syncing between BlackLine with Oracle on-prem and Cloud Systems, automate reconciliations using Blackline’s auto certification rules, automates the reconciliation process by matching transactions between gender ledger and subledgers, improve month-end close efficiency, and Manage configurable workflows and task lists in BlackLine to centralize the financial close, ensuring accountability and real-time visibility of progress and bottlenecks. Usage of Leveraged Verity AI within BlackLine to automate transaction matching is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Systems Configuration & Management: Oversee and manage system configurations across Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS R12, and BlackLine, including configuration and customization of reconciliation templates, RICE components, Oracle Financials (AP, AR, FA, GL, and Cash Management), OAF, Workflow, AME, and related customizations and extensions.
  • Matching Design: Grouping keys, matching keys, tolerance bands, aging buckets. Rule sequencing (exact match → fuzzy match → threshold variance). Exception categorization (chargebacks, partial captures, FX diffs, fees). Multi-currency handling & FX rate alignment Transaction. Auto-match strategy optimization (>85–95% target auto-match). E‑Commerce Ecosystem Integrations.
  • Business Partnership & Support: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to support configuration changes, enhance system capabilities, and continuously optimize business processes.
  • Technical Support & Integration: Provide expert-level configuration, integration, and troubleshooting support to ensure stable, efficient, and seamless operation of Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud environments.
  • Software Quality & Best Practices: Uphold high standards of software quality and technical excellence by promoting best practices, writing clean, secure, testable, and maintainable code, and fostering strong engineering habits within the team.
  • End-to-End Solution Delivery: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, debugging, optimization, scaling, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications to deliver high-value business solutions.
  • Production Support & Releases: Execute critical maintenance, deployment, and release management activities, including providing occasional off-hours support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Proactively identify system issues, performance bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities, and drive meaningful change by collaborating with peers and leadership to build alignment and implement solutions.
  • Required Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years (12+ years preferred) of experience in architecting, developing, implementing, integrating, and/or administering Oracle R12 and Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Experience with Blackline applications and understanding of the Blackline Oracle Connector, is highly preferred.
  • Experience configuring and customizing standardized reconciliation templates in Blackline, including integrated spreadsheets and supporting documentation for complex accounts such as prepaid expenses and accruals.
  • Experience integrating Blackline with ERP systems to automate GL balance imports, ensure data accuracy, and proactively identify and explain balance variances.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Financials modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), General Ledger (GL), and Cash Management.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and development tools such as TOAD and SQL Developer.
  • Proficiency in coding and scripting using Python, Groovy, Core Java, Java Scripting, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience leveraging AI functionalities within IDE tools such as Visual Studio, JDeveloper, and IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of core finance and accounting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to work as an adaptable team player with a strong focus on collaboration, results, and value delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
