POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Product Manager for the Remodel Windows Category will be responsible for overseeing the development, launch, and management of a comprehensive product portfolio within this specific category. They will play a crucial role in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction through strategic product planning and execution. Category Strategy:
Develop and execute a robust category strategy for remodel windows, considering market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.Conduct market research and analysis to identify market gaps, opportunities, and customer insights.Define target customer segments and create value propositions that differentiate our products from competitors. Product Development and Launch:
Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and timeline targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to drive product innovation and optimize the product development lifecycle.Conduct thorough product testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Portfolio Management:
Manage the entire product portfolio within the remodel windows category, including new product introductions, line extensions, and product lifecycle management. Continuously assess and optimize the product mix to meet changing customer demands and achieve revenue and profitability targets. Monitor and analyze market performance, sales data, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Pricing and Margin Optimization:
Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market. Monitor pricing trends, market dynamics, and cost structures to make data-driven pricing decisions. Collaborate with finance and sales teams to analyze margins, identify pricing opportunities, and optimize pricing structures. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales enablement materials. Provide product training and support to the sales team, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively sell remodel windows. Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability, inventory management, and efficient order fulfillment. Competitive Analysis:
Conduct competitive intelligence activities to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.Analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for differentiation and strategic positioning.Leverage market insights to inform product roadmap decisions and drive innovation. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred). Proven experience (10+ years) in product management, specifically within the remodel windows category or related building materials. Deep understanding of the remodel windows market, including customer needs, industry dynamics, and regulatory requirements.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable plans. Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.Demonstrated track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
