Job Description
The Dimensional Control Engineer will support the Polaris off-road vehicle engineering team to further develop and execute an enterprise dimensional control strategy and lead the integration of advanced dimensional control practices into Polaris product development processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the dimensional control strategy to align Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and the Supply Base.Develop engineering capability through mentoring and classroom training; elevate consistency across teams and platforms.Establish dimensional requirements flow down from vehicle goals to systems, components, and suppliers.Define datum/locator schemes, measurement approaches, and variation metrics from component through full assembly.Lead tolerance analysis and variation studies to guide design decisions and ensure manufacturing feasibility.Define measurement system strategies and capability expectations, including CMM/3D ...
