POSITION SUMMARY
Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (Sr. SQE) is responsible for ensuring that all supplied components and materials meet quality standards and specifications required for production. This role serves as the primary liaison between the plant and suppliers focusing on quality assurance supplier improvement and problem resolution. The Sr. SQE works closely with internal teams such as Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, and Corporate Supplier Quality to maintain supplier performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support determining the data-driven top customer field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported weekly.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process.
- Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions.
- Recommend appropriate remedial activities.
