Amazon Web Services (AWS) is launching the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC). We seek experienced senior systems engineers to lead automation and operations teams, delivering highly available services such as EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock to EU customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams.
• Build and lead operations and development teams focused on high‑availability AWS services.
• Improve day‑to‑day operations, ensuring availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to resolve out‑of‑hours incidents.
• Influence evolution of AWS services and technology for EU customers.
