Job Description
Job Description:
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Senior Talent Manager to join the Talent Management team, leading Strategic Workforce Planning and Organizational Design at the enterprise level. This is a senior level individual contributor role that will play a critical part in translating business strategy into workforce and organizational decisions, ensuring Chewy has the right structure, capabilities, and capacity to scale sustainably.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, systems thinking, and organizational effectiveness. You will design frameworks, guide leaders and HRBPs through complex tradeoffs, and build repeatable mechanisms that enable better decisions.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Workforce Planning
Translate long-term business needs to design and execute a comprehensive Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) framework that assesses current workforce capabilities and forecasts future talent needs aligned to business strategy
Develop tools, dashboards, and narratives that make workforce insights actionable and decision-oriented.
Establish repeatable planning mechanisms that scale across functions while allowing for localized context.
Organizational Design & Operating Models
Partner with HRBPs and leaders to assess operating models, organizational structures, and ways of working.
Apply organizational design principles to recommend structures that enable clarity, accountability, speed, and scalability.
Design and refine operating models that align with strategic priorities and evolving business needs.
Lead or support enterprise-level org design initiatives tied to growth, efficiency, or transformation.
Enterprise Impact & Enablement
Act as a systems thinker, recognizing interdependencies across roles, teams, and processes when diagnosing organizational challenges.
Build and evolve frameworks, tools, and standards that strengthen organizational health and effectiveness over time.
Partner with HR colleagues to build broader organizational design and workforce planning capability—not just deliver point solutions.
Develop compelling executive-ready materials, including visual artifacts and white papers.
Operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
What You’ll Need:
8+ years of experience in workforce strategy, organizational design, talent strategy, management consulting, or a closely related field
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (Master's preferred)
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into workforce and organizational solutions
Strong systems thinking and comfort working across ambiguity and imperfect data
Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing complex decisions
Ability to move fluidly between quantitative analysis and strategic storytelling
Proven track record of designing scalable frameworks or mechanisms, not just executing one-off projects
Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and executive communication skills
Experience using written narratives such as white papers or memos to communicate recommendations and support decisions is preferred
