Position: QA Automation Tester

Experience Level: 3-5 YearsSpecialization: Playwright, React Applications, API Testing

Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with specific expertise in Playwright for testing React applications and comprehensive API testing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities


Test Automation Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for React-based web applications

  • Create robust end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios covering critical user journeys

  • Implement page object model and other design patterns for maintainable test code

  • Build and maintain API test automation frameworks for RESTful services

  • Quality Assurance

  • Execute automated test suites across multiple browsers and devices

  • Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing

  • Validate API responses, data integrity, and performance benchmarks

  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution

  • Test Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria

  • Participate in sprint planning and provide testing estimates

  • Create comprehensive test documentation and reports

  • Review and approve test cases created by junior team members

  • Continuous Integration/Deployment

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure Devops, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Set up and maintain test environments

  • Monitor test execution results and investigate failures

  • Optimize test execution time and reliability

    • Required Skills & Experience


    Technical Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in QA automation testing

  • Strong proficiency in Playwright framework for web automation

  • Extensive experience testing React applications and SPA architectures

  • API testing expertise using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar

  • Programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, with knowledge of modern ES6+ features

  • Version control: Git workflows and collaborative development practices

  • Testing Expertise

  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration)

  • Experience with cross-browser testing and responsive design validation

  • Knowledge of accessibility testing principles (WCAG guidelines)

  • Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools

  • Tools & Technologies

  • Test frameworks: Playwright, Jest, Mocha, or similar

  • API testing: REST/GraphQL API testing and validation

  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms

  • Test management: AzDo/VSTS

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge testing experience

    Additional Technical Skills

  • Experience with React Testing Library and component-level testing

  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Mobile testing experience (React Native, Appium)

  • Visual regression testing tools (Percy, Chromatic)

    • Advanced Testing Concepts

  • Test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)

  • Load and performance testing (K6, Artillery, JMeter)

  • Security testing fundamentals

  • Database testing and SQL knowledge

    • Qualifications


    Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Relevant QA/Testing certifications (ISTQB, Agile Testing, etc.) preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments
