Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of ETL and data pipeline workflows from source systems to target data platforms.

• Validate data ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and business rules for accuracy and completeness.

• Execute data reconciliation and validation using SQL to identify mismatches and defects.

• Test full loads, incremental loads, and historical data scenarios.

• Validate data pipelines built using Azure Data Platform services.

• Perform Power BI dataset and report validation to ensure data accuracy.

• Support UAT, regression testing, and post-production data validation.

• Identify root causes of data defects and collaborate with ETL developers for resolution.

• Document test cases, test results, and defect details clearly.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.

• Advanced SQL skills (joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, reconciliation queries).

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, including:

o Azure Data Factory (ADF)

o Azure SQL Database / SQL Server

o Microsoft Fabric

• Experience validating data transformations and data models.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions).

• Experience validating Power BI datasets and reports.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and ticketing tools (Jira).

• Exposure to data quality and validation frameworks.
