Job Description

Join our dynamic hardware validation team as a Validation Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in testing and validating analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for innovative products. This role involves close collaboration with design and integration teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of our hardware solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Test and validate analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems.
  • Collaborate with design and integration teams for effective validation processes.
  • Perform power measurement and clock measurements for validation purposes.
  • Conduct hardware verification, including electrical engineering and PCB design testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug PCBs.
  • Write test plans and perform testing on microcontrollers, SOCs, FPGAs, power supplies, electric motors, high-speed interfaces, and RF components.
  • Develop requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification.
  • Execute verification plans, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Document and communicate test plans and data effectively.
  • Essential Skills

  • Strong validation experience.
  • Power measurement experience, including clock noise measurements and jitter.
  • Protocol verification (I2C, SPI, CAN bus, memory, Ethernet Protocol).
  • Experience with analyzers for data capture and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting and communicating test plans.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent board level electrical circuit troubleshooting and debug skills.
  • Strong hands-on soldering skills with both through-hole and surface-mount components.
  • Test and measurement experience.
  • Analog and power design experience for DVT measurements.
  • Work Environment

    This position is onsite in Northridge, CA. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a satellite constellation project aimed at providing internet access. Initial 6-month contract with opportunity to extend multiple years. Enjoy 7 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO annually, with no tenure limit on the statement of work.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
