Job Summary:
The Senior Structural Engineer – Steel will be responsible for the design, analysis, and execution support of steel structures for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The role involves advanced structural analysis, preparation of detailed engineering deliverables, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural design and analysis of steel structures using STAAD Pro and related software
Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, and technical documentation
Develop detailed structural drawings, connection details, and fabrication-ready outputs
Utilize IDEA StatiCa for steel connection design and verification
Coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, and project management teams to ensure design integration
Review shop drawings and provide technical clarifications during fabrication and erection stages
Ensure designs comply with IS codes, international standards, and project specifications
Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments
Support site teams by resolving design-related issues and providing technical guidance
Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in steel structure design and analysis
Strong hands-on experience with STAAD Pro and IDEA StatiCa
Proven experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure steel projects
Required Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of steel structural design principles
Proficiency in STAAD Pro for analysis and design
Expertise in IDEA StatiCa for steel connection design
Good understanding of IS codes, AISC, Eurocodes (as applicable)
Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings accurately
Familiarity with fabrication and erection methodologies
