Job Summary
As a Junior Consultant in the Digital Banking team, you will participate in the development, implementation, and support of Oracle’s next-generation banking products. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will leverage your technical skills and domain knowledge to deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions. This position provides hands-on experience with contemporary banking technologies in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
 

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 1–4 years of experience with at least 1 year in software development, implementation, or support of core banking/digital banking applications.

  • Proficiency in programming using Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, JavaScript, XML.

  • Exposure to Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database (12c or 18c versions).

  • Experience with application deployment and troubleshooting on Oracle WebLogic or similar application servers.

  • Working knowledge of release management and source control tools.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills in English.

  • Willingness to work onsite/offshore, travel to client locations, work in shifts (rotational), and pursue relevant certifications.

  • Good-to-Have:

  • Exposure to cloud/SaaS deployments, Agile/DevOps tools, and testing frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, middleware (Oracle Fusion SOA Suite).

  • Understanding of banking domain concepts and digital banking products.

  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Do you have hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot, and can you demonstrate your proficiency in these technologies with practical work examples?

  • Have you participated in the development, implementation, or support of banking or digital financial services applications? Please describe a project where you played a key technical role.

  • Are you familiar with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and have you deployed or troubleshooted applications on Oracle WebLogic or a similar server?

  • Are you adaptable to working in fast-paced environments, including shifts or travel as per project requirements, and open to achieving new technical certifications?

  • Can you provide examples of effective teamwork and communication with cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams?

  • Actively contribute as a technical team member in development, implementation, migration, integration, and support activities for Oracle Digital Banking solutions.

  • Assist with the analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and documentation of customizations based on business requirements and specifications.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional Oracle and client teams both onsite and offshore; support testing and troubleshoot issues as required.

  • Ensure compliance with defined standards, change control processes, audit, and quality expectations during all project deliverables.

  • Adhere to project schedules by timely reporting progress, submitting timesheets and expenses, and ensuring smooth handover/knowledge transfer at assignment completion.

  • Participate in release management, source control, and issue tracking activities.

  • Prepare and deliver clear technical documentation, presentations, and client communications.

  • Continuously build expertise in digital banking technologies and stay updated with Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE certification requirements.
