Position: Staff Devops Engineer
Location: Portugal
Contract: Permanent FTE position
My client are looking for a Staff / Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the design, evolution, and operation of their cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities. This role is for a highly experienced engineer who enjoys staying hands on while also setting direction, mentoring others, and influencing technical decisions across teams.
ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture and operation of cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms in AWS
Design and evolve microservice based, cloud native systems using Kubernetes and Docker
Own and improve infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling
Define standards for observability, monitoring, alerting, and reliability
Act as a senior escalation point for complex production issues and architectural decisions
Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure systems are production-ready and scalable
