Staff Engineer (Asembly Process)

FUNCTIONS

BASIC FUNCTIONUnder the supervision of the Plant Engineering Manager, this position is responsible fordeveloping, maintaining and lead project-engineering programs to keep the automated equipmentin good operating conditions, through preventive and corrective maintenance. Moreover, isresponsible for the proper function of the automated equipment, such as: PLC’S, Robots, Drivesand Sensors. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES1. Ensure the correct operation of the control programs according to production necessities.2. Develop and implements preventive maintenance programs to control devices, to avoidmalfunctions or delays.3. Maintain and solve problems of all equipment of the Plant, such as: PLC’S, Robots, Drivessensors and Instrumentation.4. Support manufacturing improvement through KOS and supports a safe work environment.5. Design and Build small machines to improve production work and reduce Takt Time.6. Advises and/or responds to automation problems on 24-hour basis as needed.7. Perform the assignments established by his supervisor to maintain plant equipment in goodoperating conditions.8. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position External Business Relationships:1. Moderate contact with tooling and machine vendors. EDUCATION:Preference Engineering Degree.
