Role Summary

TheLead Engineer- ELVwillbe responsible forreviewing&validatingengineering design packages, drawings, and documentation for instrumentation and communication systemsand extra low voltage systemsforcleanroom/Semiconductor facility. The role requires strongexpertiseinreview ofdesign standards, industrial automation systems, field instrumentationselection, communication infrastructure, and multidisciplinary coordination with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Review and approve engineering drawings, design packages, specifications, material submittals, and vendor documents related to Instrumentation and Communication systems.
• Verify compliance of design with project standards, statutory requirements, codes, and client specifications.
•Reviewdetailed design calculations, instrument sizing, control loop architecture review, and communication topology evaluation.
• Review Instrument Index, I/O list, Cable Schedule, JB Schedule, Bill of Materials (BOM), Hook-Up drawings, P&IDs, and Control System Architecture diagrams.
• Oversee design integration of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, field instruments, analyzers, safety systems, alarms, and communication networks.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, third-party vendors, and EPC partners to resolve technical design queries.
•Participatein project design reviews (3D Model Review, HAZOP/HAZID, FAT/SAT, IFC design deliverables review).
• Ensuretimelyupdating ofAs-Built Drawings and revision control as per engineering change management process.
• Support site execution team during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure full adherence with relevant design codes and standards such as ISA, IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, ASME, and corporate engineering manuals.
• Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluation, vendor selection, and specification compliance.


Key Technical Skills & Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Instrumentation system design, process control systems, and industrial automation.CleanroomSemiconductor industry experience ispreferable.
• Communication system knowledge including Fiber Optic Networks, Copper Structured Cabling (CAT6/CAT7), Industrial Ethernet, Wireless Systems, CCTV, Paging, Access Control, and BMS/SCADA systems.
• Experience reviewing or designing with AutoCAD, EPLAN, SP3D, Smart Instrumentation (SPI/INtools), Revit MEP, and related engineering software.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell, Schneider, Delta, ABB or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of field instruments including transmitters, sensors, actuators, control valves, flow meters, analyzers, and instrument panels/junction boxes.
• Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof system design (ATEX, IECEx).
