As a Staff Engineer, IT Infrastructure & Network at Micron, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational health of Micron’s data communications systems, focusing on security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability. This role involves supporting the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and administration of Micron’s data and voice communication systems, including LAN/WAN, wireless, and telecommunications hardware/software. You will collaborate with business units to deliver solutions that meet or exceed requirements while adhering to published standards and compliance guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

Network Maintenance & Monitoring

  • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless networks, and VPNs.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimizations.
  • Troubleshooting & Escalation

  • Resolve escalated network issues from L1 support.
  • Diagnose complex routing and switching problems (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Configuration & Upgrades

  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and network security protocols.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates.
  • Project & Process Management

  • Plan and execute network projects aligned with business requirements.
  • Document configurations and maintain compliance with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to skill development.
  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintaining budgeting : CAPEX, OPEX, PR/PO.
  • Support Infrastructure related projects . Planning , Initiaitng, Execution, Monitoring & Control, Closure.
  • Owning Infrastructure processes and drive for continuos improvements.
  • Support in Internal & External audits.
  • Understanding and know how on compute technologies. Like. SAN / NAS, Virtulization, Data Center technologies.
  • Lead technical teams for technical evaluation and capacity planning to meet future business/IT needs
  • Perform talent management role to hire, train and develop team members to high performing individuals
  • Drive prompt resolution and problem investigations for operational incidents
  • Certification

    CCNP (Must Have), ITIL , Project Management

    Requirements:

  • Bachlore / Master degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Must have worked in 24x7 operational manufacturing plant.
  • Good and Effective communication skills. Should be able to work with global teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills using 8D with good conceptual and analytical ability
  • Excellent project management ability to comprehend customers’ needs, organize, delegate and manage tasks to deliver services that exceed customer expectation
