Job Purpose:
We’re looking for an experienced Staff Engineer (8+ years) to lead embedded firmware, AUTOSAR driver development, and PMIC system validation for next-generation automotive and industrial power solutions. The role involves architecting reusable validation frameworks, setting up the AUTOSAR framework/workflow, creating AUTOSAR CDD modules from the ground up, and enabling customer-ready firmware for Renesas PMICs attached to MCUs and SoCs.

Key Responsibilities
Lead System-Level Validation for automotive PMICs (OV/UV/OC/OT protection, CRC, ADC/BIST, watchdog, fault reactions). Build and maintain validation frameworks for PMICs.Develop embedded firmware for Renesas MPUs, MCUs, and SoCs targeting the attached PMICs.Establish the team’s AUTOSAR development environment from scratch (CDD/MCAL architecture, SWRS/SWS/SDD, configuration templates).Deliver production-quality AUTOSAR CDD drivers and reusable APIs for PMIC communication and diagnostics.Provide Functional Safety (ASIL-B/D) enablement: safety mechanism test suites, documentation, and customer demos.Support Linux driver development (MFD/regulator) for PMIC integration on industrial and automotive SoCs by leveraging the Renesas SDKs and BSPsCollaborate with design, systems, FuSa, digital, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration. Minimum Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech with 8+ years of professional Experience OR M.E./M.Tech. with 6+ years of professional ExperienceDeep experience, knowledge, and skills in driver and application-level development.Set up development boards and testing environments to validate firmware functionality.Hands-on experience with embedded software development and microcontroller programming.Experience in state-of-the-art tools for embedded SW development and verification.Requirements
8+ years in embedded firmware development (automotive preferred).Expertise in PMIC validation, power sequencing, and register-level debugging.Strong C/C++ programming, Python, SPI/I2C/ADC/ECM drivers, and bare-metal experience.Proven AUTOSAR (CDD/MCAL) development experience or ability to build it from scratch.Knowledge of ISO 26262 and safety mechanism implementation.Write, debug, review, test and document C/Python code according to SW Industry Standards (MISRA, ASPICE, CMMI).Experience with Yocto, device trees, and Linux kernel integration is a plus.Experience with FreeRTOS or similar real-time operating systems.Experience with Renesas SoC and MCU is a plus.Strong communication, technical presentation, and documentation skillsCross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.
