Staff Security Operations Engineer

We have opened several senior/staff Security Operations Engineer (SOC) positions on a new team reporting to the CISO. We are looking for a range of experience, from deep defenders of critical assets against advanced persistent threats and state‑level actors, to junior candidates with exceptional academic and career performance and a passion for cyber attack and defence.

Our goal is to build a new level of assurance and observable rigour into the open source supply chain, raising the robustness of the entire global Ubuntu estate. The SecOps team is responsible for designing, implementing and evolving Canonical’s security practices, techniques, tools, systems and policies. They are the primary owner of strategy and practices that secure Canonical’s data, internal infrastructure and build processes, and they also contribute to Canonical product security to protect Ubuntu customers.
