Overview

The Start-Up team ensures our clinical trial sites comply with all regulatory, ethical, and contractual requirements prior to study start, including reviewing sponsor or CRO feasibility questionnaires and assessing site capacity, staffing availability, competing studies, and access to suitable participants. The team also works to reduce start-up delays by managing documentation, approvals, and contracts efficiently, handling submission amendments and queries, tracking approval timelines, and communicating progress clearly to sponsors and CROs to support timely site activation.

Linear is growing and we are now looking for a number of Start-Up Associates to join us on a full-time basis.

Your Role in Our Future

  • Working across multiple studies at any one time and often with tight deadlines, some of your duties will involve preparing documentation required for applications and submissions to the Human Research Ethics Committee ensuring all applications and submissions are monitored and actioned accordingly.
  • Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders ensuring updates and changes to protocols or study requirements are communicated in a timely manner.
  • Requesting and evaluating quotes from external vendors throughout the start-up phase of each trial.
  • Liaising with the Business Development and Project Management teams to discuss project timelines and budgets to ensure trials are delivered in budget and on time.
  • Attending pre-initiation meetings with external stakeholders actioning follow up items accordingly.

Your Experience

  • To be successful in this role you must have a meticulous eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively to meet competing deadlines.
  • Organisational skills with proven ability to work across multiple projects and deadlines effectively whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage your own workload but also as part of a team and consult others when needed.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and adapt effectively to change.
  • Experience working with scientific or technical material, with the ability to quickly grasp context and translate complex scientific or regulatory language into plain English.
