Armstrong Flooring is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated and results orientated commercial account manager/specification representative to represent Armstrong Flooring in Western Australia.

Having recently been purchased by a well known Australian family, the business is now expanding into carpet and carpet tiles and looking to further increase its presence in the Western Australia commercial market.

The Role

Reporting to our National Commercial Sales Manager, this diverse role requires working closely with our WA distributor to build strong, strategic long‑term relationships with architects, designers, builders, developers, contractors and installers, promoting brand awareness, securing and upholding product specifications and ensuring Armstrong Flooring is the brand of choice. Given the nature of the role, daily travel throughout metropolitan Perth will be required servicing our existing client base, sourcing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers and key contractors to maximise product specifications and profitable sales.
  • Develop and increase sales through commercial customers, flooring contractors and builders.
  • Research and generate strategic new business relationships and opportunities.
  • Build a high‑quality customer portfolio.
  • Target development in the commercial specification market.
  • Present our range of products to customers both one‑on‑one and in group settings.

About You

  • Experience in a similar role within the building industry, specifically with internal finishes.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial account and specification process from specifying with architects through to following it through with builders and end users.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with architects, builders and contractors.
  • Self‑motivation and high personal work ethic standards.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Articulate, responsible and polished approach.
  • Confidence using technology, digital tools and CRM systems to manage sales activity and performance reporting.
  • A results‑driven, proactive attitude is a must!
