Salary: $150,000 + Super + Bonuses

OTE: $200,000

The Opportunity

As State Manager for NSW, you will take full ownership of the Sydney and wider state business, with a clear mandate to grow revenue, market presence and team performance. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on business development, sales growth and accountability.

You will lead from the front, balancing strategic planning with active involvement in key commercial opportunities. Working closely with national leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth in a predominantly commercial furniture environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and execute the NSW state growth strategy, with a strong focus on BDM activity and sales performance
  • Drive new business across commercial, workplace, hospitality and large-scale project sectors
  • Lead, manage and hold the local team accountable to clear sales targets, KPIs and behaviours
  • Coach and develop staff to improve capability, consistency and commercial outcomes
  • Maintain a strong personal sales presence, leading by example in business development
  • Build deep relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and key commercial clients
  • Represent the brand at industry events, presentations and client engagements
  • Partner with marketing to deliver state-based campaigns, events and activations
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting and reporting, providing regular insights to national leadership
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and design innovation to inform strategy

Who We’re Looking For

You are an ambitious and commercially driven leader with a proven ability to grow a state and manage people effectively. You thrive in performance-led environments, are comfortable with accountability and enjoy building businesses rather than simply maintaining them.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a State Manager, Sales Manager or Senior BDM role
  • Background in the furniture industry, ideally commercial or high-end furniture rather than residential
  • Strong understanding of commercial project cycles and specification-led sales
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and hold staff accountable to performance
  • Clear focus on business development, sales growth and revenue generation
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised and results-driven mindset
  • Genuine appreciation for quality design and customer experience
