The Role
As the State Manager, you will hold leadership, accountability and oversight for all operational performance across SA & NT, including:
- Housing and homelessness services
- Asset management
- Maintenance and facilities management
- Community engagement and social impact initiatives
You will serve as a key point of contact, nurture effective and productive stakeholder relationships and partnerships in the State and Territory.
You will also lead the State Management Team to ensure collaboration across all operational areas and actively participate in senior management group and contribute to organisational improvements and policy development.
As the State Manager, you have ultimate leadership and responsibility for CHL’s services, positioning the Organisation as an industry leader.
We are looking for a highly skilled, committed, passionate leader to take on the role of State Manager for SA & NT.
About You
You will demonstrate success leading at a senior management level in community or social services, property services or related government or private sector; and have a sound understanding of best practice housing management, policy and legislation applying to the real estate and community housing industry. In addition, you will demonstrate an ability to create a self-directed team environment and possess key attributes.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior manager in community or social services, property services or related private organisation or government department
- Thorough understanding of and clear commitment to best practice, policy & legislation in the housing sector
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering strategic outcomes
- Strong resilience, integrity and self-awareness
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Satisfactory Police, Working With Children’s Checks and NDIS worker screening
Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
