Position Overview
The State Manager - Western Australia is responsible for leading the WA sales operation and delivering against the state’s sales performance targets.
This role leads a team of three sales representatives across Sensors, Teaching Equipment, and Electrical Products, while also maintaining direct responsibility for key strategic accounts within the state.
The State Manager works closely with the Head of Sales and plays a critical role in aligning state‑level performance with national sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Performance
- Lead, coach, and motivate the WA sales team to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
- Develop and execute sales strategies, business plans, and territory objectives aligned to national goals
- Ensure a consistent, structured sales approach across all customer interactions
- Monitor key performance indicators including qualified meetings, quotations, conversion rates, and revenue
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic accounts across all product categories
- Manage and grow key customer accounts across WA to drive repeat business and long‑term relationships
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing both technical and commercial support
- Collaborate with Product Specialists and the Head of Sales to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and strengthen long‑term retention
Skills and Experience
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales or sales leadership role within technical, engineering, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of sensors, technical teaching systems, or electrical products such as surge protection and fire‑rated enclosures
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a high‑performing sales team
- Strong commercial acumen with a hands‑on approach to key account management
