This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team handling high-acuity cases, utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring and treatment technology. Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care to PCU patients with a focus on cardiac conditions Manage cardiac-specific equipment including telemetry, pacemakers, chest tubes, and ventilatory support devices Administer intravenous drips such as heparin, amiodarone, and diltiazem, among others Perform cardiac procedures including 12-lead EKGs, chest tube management, and pacer wire removal Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within the EMR system (Meditech) Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required Current ACLS certification mandatory Experience and comfort managing cardiac drips and progressive care unit patients Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-energy environment Prior PCU and cardiac care experience preferred Schedule: Night shift hours from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM Benefits and Perks: Competitive contract terms for travel RNs Opportunity to develop specialized cardiac nursing skills Supportive team culture with experienced nursing staff Access to advanced cardiac care technology in a center of excellence This contract role suits RNs with progressive care and cardiac experience seeking a challenging, rewarding assignment in a well-established cardiac center.
