The Sterile Processing Technician plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient surgical care in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center. Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays according to AAMI standards, manufacturer IFUs, and facility policies
Accurately assemble case carts and instrument sets to support on-time starts and efficient room turnover
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam, low-temperature, etc.), ensuring proper documentation and quality assurance
