Job SummaryThe Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role ensures that all instruments and supplies are processed in accordance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements to support safe and efficient patient care in surgical and procedural areas.Key ResponsibilitiesDecontaminate, clean, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and medical equipment according to established protocols.Assemble and wrap instrument sets and ensure proper labeling and documentation before sterilization.Operate sterilizers, washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and other departmental equipment safely and effectively.Monitor sterilization parameters and maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and biological test results.Distribute sterile and non-sterile supplies to operating rooms and other hospital uni...
