Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Stock Controller to manage our inventory and ensure the accurate tracking of stock across our retail locations. The Stock Controller will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and identifying discrepancies to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory levels across all retail locations and warehouses.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and supplies.
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely and accurate deliveries.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in stock reports or records.
Work with store and warehouse staff to ensure stock is properly stored and organized.
Generate stock reports and assist in forecasting inventory needs.
Ensure all stock movements (returns, damages, transfers) are properly documented.
Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize losses.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma/degree in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or retail POS systems).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good math and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift and move stock, if required.
