Role Overview
We are hiring a fast-paced, detail-oriented Stock Market Reporter to cover U.S. financial markets in real time. The role involves breaking news, earnings coverage, and market analysis, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and speed.

Work Schedule
This role covers U.S. overnight hours, from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST.

Key Responsibilities

• Report breaking news across U.S. equities, ETFs, earnings, and macroeconomic events.
  
• Track stock price movements and identify market-moving catalysts.
  
• Cover earnings releases, SEC filings, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and corporate developments.
  
• Write clear, concise, and SEO-optimized stories under tight deadlines.
  
• Use financial platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Benzinga Pro, and EDGAR to source and verify information.
  
• Collaborate with editors to maintain high editorial standards and publishing accuracy.
  
• Adhere strictly to AP style and newsroom best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial journalism, business reporting, or capital markets coverage.
  
• Strong understanding of U.S. stock markets, financial statements, and economic indicators.
  
• Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate content in real time.
  
• Excellent writing, editing, and headline skills.
  
• Availability to work U.S. overnight hours consistently.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial terminals, newsroom CMS tools, and real-time news environments.
  
• Knowledge of derivatives, commodities, or crypto markets is a plus.
  
• Strong SEO skills and data-driven reporting experience.
