**Overview**
Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation is seeking a Stock Technician I to provide support to UIC shareholders, supervisors, and the Vice President of Shareholder Services by providing administrative assistance and customer service. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting shareholders, processing stock forms and share transfers, maintaining shareholder records, and preparing mailings. The role also supports gift and heirship cases, community event planning, and annual meeting activities, with occasional home visits to shareholders as needed.
**Responsibilities**
Essential functions will include:
+ Greet and assist shareholders in person and by phone, providing prompt and professional customer service.
+ Respond to shareholder requests and inquiries regarding stock forms and related matters.
+ Enter, update, and maintain shareholder data in the shareholder database and related spreadsheets.
+ File confidential shareholder correspondence and documentation after review or transfer completion.
+ Process share transfers in the database upon Board of Directors approval.
+ Assist with information requests for gift and heirship cases.
+ Prepare and distribute shareholder mailings throughout the year.
+ Assist with planning and execution of community events, including annual meetings, informational meetings, AFN convention, picnics, and festivals.
+ Support annual meeting activities, including registration, proxy processing, data entry, and mail-outs.
+ Conduct occasional home visits to shareholders unable to visit the office.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 0–2 years of professional experience.
+ Employees must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of office management.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with staff in various office situations.
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and filing proficiency.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Understanding of the Inupiaq language; speaking proficiency preferred.
+ Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
+ Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
Physical and Mental Demands:
+ Work is primarily sedentary, performed in an office environment.
+ Requires prolonged periods of sitting and use of a computer.
+ Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
+ Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 20 pounds.
+ Requires the ability to focus on detailed work for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
+ Some traveling will be required.
+ May require long hours during Annual Meeting preparation.
