Storage Administrator

We are currently seeking a Storage Administrator to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job description:
Storage Administrator is responsible for ongoing storage administration, maintenance and problem resolution of existing SAN / NAS storage infrastructure and related software.
Implementing and managing storage solutions to support the organization's data storage needs.
Must be capable of working with minimal supervision & applies the necessary technical expertise for effective and efficient use while communicating with peers, customers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
 Core knowledge of Isilon Administration & troubleshooting.
 Core understanding of Isilon Network configuration.
 Excellent working knowledge in multiple File share solutions and able to identify the best solution.
 Core knowledge of Isilon architecture & troubleshooting skills.
 Strong knowledge on SMB & NTFS permission management
 Should be able to handle large scale migration projects.
 Proficient with ONEFS version features, maintenance, patching and Upgrades.
 Strong knowledge in configuration, troubleshoot & management of SYNCIQ policies & Snapshot management.
 Core knowledge of Disaster recovery & Business continuity strategies using Isilon SYNIQ
 Storage capacity management and forecast its growth.
 Good understanding of Datacenter management activities is mandatory.
 Deep understanding of Security - Firewall port analysis.
 Excellent working knowledge in mitigating the vulnerabilities.
 Knowledge on DDN storage & Core knowledge of Luster file system.
Required Skills:
 Minimum of a 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
 Minimum 4+ years of proven experience as a Storage Administrator or similar role
 Strong knowledge of storage technologies and protocols
 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 Knowledge on Data protection and disaster recovery strategies
 Lead in the planning and implementation of SAN & NAS storage solutions.
 Set up and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure architecture.
 Proficient in at least one scripting language (i.e., Bash, Python)
 Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, operation, and tuning of enterprise infrastructure storage solutions.
 Experience managing large scale dynamic enterprise environment.
 Assist with performance management and resource optimization.
 Knowledge of NAS backup & recovery tools (snapvault/snapmirror/snaprestore).
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
 Highly organized and experienceself-motivated individual
