Storage Backup Administrator

Job Overview
The Storage Backup Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and monitoring of backup and storage systems to ensure data protection, availability, and disaster recovery readiness. This role involves managing backup technologies, storage infrastructure, and supporting recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain VMware and Hypervisor environments.
Manage backup technologies including TSM, HP-DP, and NetBackup.
Install and configure backup tools, agents (TDP for Oracle, SQL, Exchange), and client software.
Manage ATL/VTL libraries and perform proactive monitoring of backup infrastructure.
Troubleshoot backup failures, library, or storage infrastructure issues.
Perform storage pool management, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Handle ticket management and liaise with hardware/software vendors.
Add or remove backup clients following standard procedures.
