Storage Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer with deep expertise in Hitachi storage systems to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise storage solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of storage platforms that support mission-critical applications.

Tasks

Design, implement, configure, and maintain Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP), HCP (Hitachi Content Platform), and related storage solutions .

Manage storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Monitor storage health and capacity; provide proactive recommendations for optimization and growth.

Administer SAN fabric (Brocade/Cisco) including zoning, performance analysis, and upgrades.

Integrate storage solutions with backup and disaster recovery platforms.

Support migration projects from legacy storage to Hitachi platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

7+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering, with at least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Hitachi storage systems .

Strong expertise with:

• Hitachi VSP (F/G series, 5000 series)
• Hitachi Ops Center / Hitachi Command Suite
• Hitachi Content Platform (HCP)
• Hitachi replication technologies (TrueCopy, Universal Replicator, ShadowImage, etc.)

Experience with SAN infrastructure (Brocade/Cisco switches).

Knowledge of backup solutions (Veritas, Commvault, Veeam, or equivalent).
