**Your role and responsibilities**
As a QA/Test Developer: Storage, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment to recommend and develop testing standards and application of quality technologies for Storage. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members on story development, from before definition through final deployment. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Testing Standards: Recommend and develop testing standards and application of quality technologies for Storage, ensuring the product is robust and failure scenarios are considered and refactored. • Collaborative Story Development: Collaborate with cross-functional team members on story development, from before definition through final deployment, to ensure testing is built from the ground up. • Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory testing using industry-leading practices to discover defects/bugs and work with coders and POs to determine root cause and prevention methods. • Test Automation: Drive test case development, test matrix characterization, and adoption of test automation for unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing. • Client Advocacy: Act as a client advocate, testing and providing feedback on items such as quality, usability, serviceability, documentation, and real-world scenarios.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Exposure to Agile Methodologies: Experience working with agile development methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to story development from definition to deployment. •
* Test Automation Tools: Exposure to test automation tools and technologies, with experience in developing and maintaining automated tests for unit, integration, and functional testing. •
* Quality Assurance Practices: Experience with industry-leading quality assurance practices, including exploratory testing, defect identification, and root cause analysis. •
* Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, including test case development, test matrix characterization, and traceability between requirements, stories, tests, and defects.
* Proven Storage domain knowledge with hands-on experience on block storage software stack implementation and features like High availability, replication and storage multi-pathing solutions.
* Experience in block storage performance testing.
* Experience on storage performance benchmarking tools like vdbench, IO Meter etc
