Job Summary

The Store Assistant supports the efficient operation of the store by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory. The role ensures accurate stock records, proper storage, and timely availability of materials while following company policies and safety standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive goods and materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Verify quantity, quality, and specifications of received items.
  • Arrange and store items properly in designated storage areas.
  • Issue materials against authorized requisitions and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers.
  • Assist in periodic stock counts and audits.
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices are followed where applicable.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area.
  • Identify damaged, expired, or slow-moving items and report to the Storekeeper.
