Job Description

  • Oversee the receipt and unloading of raw materials with proper documentation (delivery challans, invoices, and purchase orders)
  • Verify the quantity and quality of materials received against purchase orders in coordination with QC.
  • Issue raw materials to production and outsourcing teams as per schedules
  • Supply of raw materials to outsourcing vendors as per the Picklist
  • Ensure storage conditions meet material-specific requirements (e.g., rustproofing, weather protection)
  • Supervise contract workmen for material handling
  • Ensure safe material handling
  • MR/Picklist posting in SAP
  • Develop and maintain a systematic layout for materials in storage to optimize space utilization.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and training for contract workers handling materials.
  • Enforce adherence to material handling safety standards (e.g., using appropriate tools and PPE)
