Role Overview
The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall performance, operations, and profitability of the store. This role requires a strong blend of retail sales leadership, customer relationship management, inventory control, and team handling, specifically in the jewellery or luxury retail segment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management
- Drive store sales and achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Ensure high conversion rates, average ticket size, and repeat customer business.
- Handle high-value customers and assist in closing premium jewellery sales.
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, festive sales, and special campaigns.
Customer Experience
- Deliver a world-class, personalized buying experience to every customer.
- Build long-term relationships with repeat and referral clients.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and post-sale service issues professionally.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards in service, presentation, and communication.
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, billing, and security.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards aligned with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with HO for stock movement, replenishment, and new launches.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Manage diamond and jewellery inventory with strict accuracy and controls.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure zero tolerance for discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation for inward/outward stock and certifications.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the store sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and productivity.
- Conduct regular product and sales training for team members.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews of store staff.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Track KPIs such as footfall, conversion ratio, average bill value, and inventory turnover.
- Share market feedback, customer trends, and competitor insights with management.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA / Retail Management preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in jewellery retail or luxury retail, with at least 2 years as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Strong understanding of diamonds, gold jewellery, certifications, and retail compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in POS systems, billing software, and basic MIS reporting.
