About the Role:
The Store Keeper is responsible for the efficient management, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, tools, and consumables used in laboratories, workshops, and other departments of the engineering college. The role ensures accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and timely availability of items while adhering to institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase orders and invoices.
· Maintain proper storage of materials to ensure safety, preservation, and easy identification.
· Issue materials to departments, laboratories, and workshops as per approved requisitions.
· Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, ledgers, and inventory registers (manual or digital).
