/Responsibilities
The Strategic Account Manager – Sam’s Club role services & supports the assigned National Key Account primarily focusing on growth with private label brands identified for Sam’s Club. This role also supports execution, state pricing management, new product development & forecasting; is responsible for identifying opportunities & developing fact based selling stories to secure distribution and incremental programming. This role also works with brand teams, new brand development, operations, global sales, quality assurance, customer service, & commercial finance when dealing with the Private Label portfolio.
Location: This is a remote role to be based inNorthwest Arkansas (Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville, Springdale, Bella Vista)
Key Responsibilities (Job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):
Grow overall Sazerac volume & share growth on Private Label BrandsBuild Private Label Brands and launch innovation across the portfolioWork with operations and supply chain to launch new Private Label items and work with distributors to ensure proper item setup and ordering of new items and ongoing inventory management to maintain instocksMonitor inventory levels both at the state level with distributors and at store level in DSD states and analyze replenishment settings in warehouse/control states to maintain instocksManage pricing and item maintenance through Sam’s Club portalFully accountable for setting up and managing the Private Label pricing structures for Sam’s ClubStrengthen existing and develop new relationships with key Sam’s Club personnel across the merchandising teams and replenishment teams. Focus on driving the current business and incorporate longer-term, strategic planning for Private Label portfolio.Develop tools and processes that lead to insights and actions. Likely sources will include Nielsen, iDig/VIP, COGNOS, and Excel. Qualifications/Requirements
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field3+ years of experience in strategic account management, business development, or sales management in the alcoholic beverage or CPG industryProven success managing club channel retail accounts or equivalent national retailer with Sam’s Club or Walmart highly preferredDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving sales, operations, marketing, legal, and financeStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret syndicated data (., Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link) and translate into actionable strategiesExceptional relationship management and negotiation skills with both internal stakeholders and external buyersHighly organized with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budgetProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to travel up to 25% as required for key meetings and trade eventsA valid driver's licensePreferred
MBADirect key account experience working with Sam’s Club or Walmart Familiarity with Retail Link, Salsify, and SalesforceUnderstanding of private label programs, including managing the end-to-end RFP process, vendor submissions, and go-to-market execution Experience in sourcing, product development, and pricing strategy in collaboration with supply chain and procurement teams #LI-KG1
