Roles and Responsibilities

Role Contour: Responsible for identifyinga) strategic growth areas for Protean,b) identifying with various stakeholders build vs buy approach to enter into shortlisted growth areas,c)identification of partners for inorganic growth through investments in startups or via mergers and acquisitions

Accountabilities:

Scan the market for new product opportunities, partnership opportunities and
investment opportunities based on the rapidly evolving landscape. This will involve
Industry Analysis, Competition analysis etc.

Prepare business case for new identified business product (model) & suggest between
build vs buy case for the same

Build a framework and blueprint for strategic partnerships

Identify strategic partners with synergies , fitment into Protean’s short , long-term
strategic imperatives, GTM strategy ,needs, ability to play a key role for our new or
existing products, services.

Plan and manage the operational aspects of partnerships & alliances (appropriate
communications, coordination of activities, handling partner concerns, solving
business problems and negotiations)

Work with Legal, Finance and other relevant departments, as well as alliance partners,
to review and execute contract renewals and amendments

Implement tools, checklists, and models to evaluate potential partners as part of the
assessment and diligence process

Build business case , investment thesis for strategic investment opportunities ,
partnerships

Work with investment bankers for lead generation for identified sectors , for
evaluation of opportunities shared by bankers representing sell side mandate

Identify Key Matrices for the business to evaluate the performance of the company+ years of experience in Equity Research , Investment Banking ,
Corporate Strategy, M and A preferably in Technology sector
